As expected, they identified some areas that they'd like some more information on. It's very common for an adoption "board" to 'nit-pick' at a family's dossier and make them provide more information on various subjects. It's as if they're saying- "How bad do you want this?" The awesome blessing in this is that most families have 10 or more observations requiring attention but we only have 2! PRAISE THE LORD!
We have less than 30 days to gather this information, have it notarized, apostilled, translated and sent to Peru. Technically, we have 15 days, but can request an additional 15 days- otherwise they've said they will "file the dossier away" as if we abandoned the process.
PLEASE PRAY for the following:
- Some parts of our psychological/family evaluation need to be expounded on and unfortunately this could be a difficult task. The Psychologist that wrote our report is in New York and that complicates the scenario of several already very busy schedules that need to mesh in order to get this done. In addition to the time factor, in the past when something had to be changed- we have been charged upwards of $400-500 for simple changes. We know our God is bigger than any issue we may have with this!
- We need some additional medical reports for our boys. Michelle is working on getting those right now, please pray that the physicians will be able to produce those promptly...preferable by the beginning of next week.
- Timing. It's been said "timing is everything" and that is certainly true in this case, however we believe that this is no surprise to God and He will guide us through this- we just want to be fully yielded to Him so that we don't screw this thing up!
To God be the Glory!
